Genus name comes from the Greek word Kanna meaning "reed". Cannas are among the most colorful summer bulbs with ruffled spikes tapering to refined buds, boasting immense paddle shaped leaves. Growing Instructions
Where not hardy, plant outdoors in early summer 2" deep, setting the rhizome in the hole, 'eyes' (shoots) up. Cannas do best with a good supply of water.

As flowers fade, deadhead to promote continued flowering. They like moist conditions.
